Gillian Tanz, MSW, LCSW
Gillian Tanz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with expertise in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Gillian obtained her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University in 2012 and is licensed in Connecticut and New York. Gillian is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, the National Association of Social Workers and Postpartum Support International. Gillian previously served on the board of IAEDP CT and has presented at the IAEDP International Conference and the NASW CT Conference. ​
About Gillian
Gillian has worked in hospital, residential and outpatient mental health settings, including Silver Hill Hospital and most recently, Monte Nido River Towns, where she served as Clinical Director. Gillian has been privileged to receive direct training and supervision from Monte Nido Founder Carolyn Costin and the creator of Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Dr. Patricia Resick.

Gillian’s work is informed by cognitive theory, mindfulness and relational psychotherapy. Her style is warm but direct, with a focus on the needs of each individual person. Gillian welcomes clients of all backgrounds, cultures, faith traditions, gender identities and sexual orientations.
